Working Principle
The RF Admittance Disc Level Switch works on the principle of capacitance measurement using RF admittance technology. When material comes in contact with or approaches the flush-mounted sensing disc, the dielectric constant around the sensor changes.
This change in capacitance is detected by the electronics, which then activates an output relay. The switch provides precise ON/OFF signals for high or low-level detection, ensuring reliable operation even with sticky, dusty, or abrasive materials.
Construction
The switch is housed in a robust cast aluminum enclosure with IP65 protection, suitable for harsh industrial environments. The flush-mounted stainless steel sensing disc forms an integral part of the chute wall, preventing material obstruction and wear. Insulation options such as UHMWPE or PTFE ensure compatibility with varying temperature and material conditions.
