Working Principle

The Mini Vibrating Fork Level Switch works on the principle of resonance. The fork tines are continuously vibrated at their natural resonant frequency using piezoelectric elements. When the liquid covers the fork, the vibration is damped due to resistance offered by the liquid media.

This change in vibration amplitude is detected electronically and processed to activate a switching output. The output signal can be used to trigger alarms, control pumps, motors, or valves, ensuring reliable level monitoring and process safety.

Construction

The switch features a short fork design of 70 mm made from SS316 for excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The compact enclosure houses integral electronics, LED status indicators, and field-selectable sensitivity for low, medium, and high-density liquids. The rugged construction ensures consistent performance in harsh industrial environments.
