Hydrostatic Level Transmitters are designed for continuous hydrostatic level measurement in ventilated tanks, wells, reservoirs and sumps. The transmitter works on the principle of sensing hydrostatic pressure exerted by the liquid column and converting it into a linear 4–20 mA output. Measurement remains unaffected by electrical medium properties or foam formation.

The system comprises a piezo-resistive pressure sensor integrated with signal evaluation electronics. The probe construction is rugged, compact, corrosion resistant and suitable for narrow bore installations. With IP68 protection and customized lengths up to 200 meters, it delivers long-term reliable performance in harsh environments.

Construction & Working

The transmitter consists of a piezo-resistive pressure sensor and built-in evaluation electronics, all enclosed within a durable probe. The hydrostatic pressure created by the liquid column is sensed by the pressure element, which converts it into a proportional 4–20 mA current output. This method ensures accurate and stable measurement regardless of foam, vapors, or changes in electrical properties of the medium.
