Displacer Float Level Switch
The Displacer Float Level Switch operates on the buoyancy principle using a suspended displacer instead of a floating element. As the liquid level rises, the displacer experiences weight loss, reducing the tension on the spring mechanism. This movement actuates a microswitch, ensuring reliable high or low level indication even in challenging applications where standard float switches may not perform effectively.
This switch is ideal for applications involving foaming liquids, viscous media, or environments requiring precise level control. It offers Narrow Differential (ND) or Wide Differential (WD) switching depending on process needs, making it suitable for a wide range of industries and tank types.

Working Principle
The displacer is suspended by a wire rope and connected to a spring-loaded actuator. When the liquid level rises, the displacer gets submerged and undergoes weight loss. This upward movement allows the spring to expand, moving the actuator into the magnetic field and triggering the microswitch to provide a changeover signal (SPDT/DPDT). The switch provides reliable ON/OFF control for level automation.
Switching Types: Narrow Differential (ND) & Wide Differential (WD)
Construction
The assembly consists of a standard or split displacer suspended on a high-strength SS rope, connected to a piston rod and actuator housed inside a non-magnetic barrier tube. The unit includes microswitches rated for industrial use. Displacers are available in SS304, SS316, SS316L, PP, PVDF, or PTFE depending on medium compatibility.
