Capacitance Level Transmitters are designed for accurate measurement of liquid levels in a wide variety of conductive and non-conductive media. The system consists of a sensing and ground electrode with integral electronics housed inside a cast aluminium enclosure. The probe is mounted from the top using threaded or flanged connections.

As the liquid level changes, the capacitance formed between the sensing and ground electrodes varies accordingly. This change is precisely measured and converted into a standard 4–20 mA output signal, ensuring reliable and continuous level monitoring even under process turbulence.

Construction & Working

The transmitter consists of a concentric sensing probe and ground electrode with electronics housed in a cast aluminium weatherproof or flameproof enclosure. The probe can be supplied in rigid or rope form based on tank depth (up to 10 meters). Installed from the top or side, the capacitance generated between electrodes changes with liquid level and is converted to an analog output for accurate level indication.
